Bands appearing along with the murder boys were: 2 Bullet, Mamono, Aural Vampire, Destruct System. There are a total of 46 pictures for you to peruse at your leisure.

Hi there Release Magazine visitors!

A big thank you to Release Magazine for putting a mention of my own little corner of hell up on their site (please, please, please put me on your link list!). Yes, RM visitors, JGoth.com is dedicated to the Goth/underground scene in Japan. Have a look around, check out some of the things hiding inside, jump to a couple of band sites and feel free to SIGN UP (am I being too direct?) or put this place as a bookmark or grab the feed!

… And if you are looking for some music to rock RIGHT NOW then check:
Agent Murder on MySpace
2 Bullet on MySpace
Baal on MySpace
Sins of the Flesh
Despair on MySpace
Harshrealm on MySpace
— They all have their own sites, but the MySpace zone is the easiest to get a listen to!

THANKS RM! YOU ROCK!

[Goth DJ/Live/Performance] Hell yeah! I’ve always liked Agent Murder’s events for getting kick ass acts inside and outside the scene. The irregular Adultery and Murder TV events pumped. This time though it’s the resurrection of the Kichigai series (Kichigai means “crazy,” but it’s a disturbed kind of crazy) and repositioning it as an overnight event. Fuck the mainstream!

One of my first ventures into this world was the Kichigai event at Bar Jap (the owner is Japanese so he can call the place whatever he likes)… gads, two years ago. While that rendition was more a happening performance (happenings are live performance pieces for those who missed the 70s), THIS ONE is shaping up for a Goth club night with DJs Wakana, Violet and Chihiro, live set from Agent Murder (the new Murder sound freaking rocks!), and live performances including Kari-ssu-Mummy.

Running on the same night as Mess means decisions must be made (Midnight Mess, Murder or both!). But since Mess’ Marz and Murder’s Urga are only a couple of hundred meters apart, you know where the Goths and the sexy latex, leather and/or frilly outfits are going to be on the 22nd. Whichever you choose, I am pretty darned sure you WILL have a fun night.

As with all overnight events Remember your freaking ID. They have to check everyone! Booking – contact the band, DJs, or performers.

Danse Macabre may be dead, but the phoenix will rise from the ashes. Welcome to Club INFERNO. This event is geared for the lovers of the dark side. It is a seriously Goth-oriented DJ event – which is just what a number of you guys are looking for!

Now that you have been appropriately cowed into submission, let me tell you this will be a really cool event. It is kind of like the Vertige evenings that help to expel the evil before Monday. DJ’d the whole way through by Khimaira and Satsuki the sound-scape is Gothic, death rock, positive punk, dark wave, dark electro, technoiz (harsh/rhythmic noiz) I think this has got the potential to be one of the core Goth events on the Igorian schedule in the future.

Now there is an inferno… Club INFERNO!

Yes. Khimaira is back with a new event, Club INFERNO! Aren’t you excited? I sure as hell am! The INFERNO is a Sunday evening event to get you Gothed out by Monday. Sound good? Sounds like Vertige… Must be good! Details shall be available in the next few days… STAY TUNED!

[Art/Creative night] Usually I would not put the ArtsyBugs event as a news item, because it is more of an arty-type event. But this month does look interesting as it appears that Mizore (a long-lost member now?) has got his old Seattle industrial project doing a show there. I am not 100% sure if they will be doing the show, and I am not sure what kind of industrial it is. However, no matter what happens it looks like an evening worth checking out if you are looking for something off the mainstream on a Sunday evening.

ArtsyBugs is a monthly artistic/creative type event that brings together people from a range of backgrounds on the second Sunday of each month. It is a place to kick back with food, drink and people putting on their funky stuff.

Organized by Mizore (an industrial Goth-in-exile) and another of the brethren, ArtsyBugs brings together artists, creative types and appreciators together in a pub-style environment. Nice mix of people, a down-to-earth type of event with good food and beer along with the art, music, poetry. They also welcome people wanting to bring their own portfolios, so if you’re feeling so inclined don’t hesitate.

April’s got a special event for the performance poets among you with the AB Poetry Slam Vol.1 with special guest poet. Also up is David Lankford, Live music by The Waywards and Ninth Circle and much more.

Special HOY! for Ninth Circle, which, I believe, is Mizore’s old industrial band. I don’t know what style of industrial it would be, but could be interesting for a Sunday evening.

It starts @ 6 p.m. and is just 500 yen @ the door.

ArtsyBugs
When: Sunday, April 9
Start: 18:00
Where:The Pink Cow (nr. Shibuya and Omotesando stations)
Address:1-3-18 Villa Moderuna B1, Shibuya, Tokyo :: Map
Price: 500 yen
Live: Ninth Circle (I think…)

It is time for the monthly scream from JGoth central. I can hardly believe almost two years have gone by since the first candy-pastelled page went out. I will have to think what I have to say when the time rolls about.

:: Tokyo Dark Castle this weekend!
TDC#18 is getting primed and ready to attack. This event is looking particularly cool with Auto-Mod testing out a new Eastern sound to underpin their songs (great accent to their hard rock), Agent Murder with their new CD release (drool), Jubilee and Calmando Qual from west Japan, plus Vexation and Selia for some sweeter sounds. Don’t miss it! Details here

:: SKUNKWERX! Japanese Goth Invades German Goth Magazine!
Germany was assaulted by Japanese Goth earlier this month when six bands (plus Igor and his ferret, Truffle), got inside A stan magazine. Pictures, interviews and song samples all made their way into the mag. Aural Vampire forged ahead a long time ago and were the “feature band” with cover space dedicated to Exo Chika. The other five bands, 2 Bullet, Baal, Despair, Satanyanko, Sins of the Flesh all feature heavily in the magazine representing a major step forward in taking Japanese Goth to the world! Oh, yeah, plus an interview with moi! Read the whole report.

I know I wrote about it before, but it is BIG news. Not only is this one hot piece of work, it is also available through Amazon.co.jp and Amazon.com (yes in the U.S.)!
