A week with a head full of snot has left me drawn out. The lugies are clearing five feet when I get a good hack going. They’re flying like luminous green comets before spattering on the floor or the back of some unsuspecting commuter. It’s the dreaded summer cold, but Igor ain’t dead yet.

Time to get back in the saddle and write some more about my quest for alternative realities in the grey industrial landscape in the back streets of Tokyo. Not a lot has been going on as I drag myself to purgatory each morning. Hey, at least they keep the ferrets living in high style – the ferrets eat better than me most nights.

I managed to catch Pirates of the Carribean on DVD over the weekend. I love Johnnie Depp – he does the coolest roles and really has style. Remember Edward Scissorhands? Man, I dreamt of being that socially incompetent. And his recent stuff is hot scotch, I tell you. I never read Sleepy Hollow, but when it came out with JD, Igor had to see it. But Pirates was something else – it was the best fantasy trip I’ve seen for a long time. Orlando Bloom was pretty good too, but JD as the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow made that flick shine.

Anyway, onto checking out what’s about. I have a couple of Press releases to cut and paste (man I LOVE IT when people send me that kind of stuff – it makes me feel all hoity-toity important-like). I’m starting to get excited about TDC12 on the 25th and might even snark into Toge Toge Tokagee the night before. This weekend’s got Satanyanko doing their thing in Osaka, but I have been too out of sorts to scope anything closer to the Kanto plains.

Well, time to break out the snot rags and get this page rolling again.

Cheers
