[Goth - Fetish - Industrial - DJ & Live] Midnight Mess is one of the main regular Goth events in Tokyo, taking place on the fourth Saturday of every month. Mess features a mix of entertainment including live bands, DJs and performances. The general sound-scape is Gothic, fetish, dark, experimental and industrial. It is recommended as a launch point for newbies and quite a nice place to go to on a regular basis.

Unless otherwise stated, Midnight Mess is held every fourth Saturday of the month beginning at 12 midnight Saturdays and goes through to the early morning (around 5 or 6 a.m.). Remember that as with all overnight events you need photo ID to enter.

Tonight I decided not to go to a really hot-looking event in Ikebukuro Chop which included, among others, Jet Pepper Tower and Speed-ID. It is kind of depressing being here in my tower missing out on these things. Hopefully there will be another wild night at Chop or Urga that I can go to.

Actually tomorrow night there will be a good event at Urga with bands like Nicht and (drool) Destruct System. Hmm, maybe I will have the energy to go there.

[Uber Goth-Industrial Live & DJ] Finally, the second half schedule for TDC. Tokyo Dark Castle (TDC) is the main event for the Gothic underground in Tokyo. Populated by the best-dressed Goths from all walks of life TDC delivers some of the best live acts and DJs in the scene. This makes TDC a must on any Goth agenda.

TDC have the second half’s event schedule for 2009 and rather than do a single post each time the event is set to roll.

Club Walpurgis – Tokyo 2009

[Goth/80's - Live & DJ] Club Walpurgis is a quarterly Gothic event in Tokyo. Club Walpurgis began as a Goth/Punk club in the 1980′s and became a kind of underground mecca in its day. 18 years after the original club closed down Walpurgis returned as a regular event in 2005 with a heavy emphasis on 80′s alternative, glam, Gothic, industrial and electro clash.

The music styles on offer include new wave, Gothic, Neo-Goth, glam, punk, EBM, elektro, industrial and more. The events are generally DJ’d with one or two live acts added in for good measure. Details will be posted as they become available.
