Two men were found in a car in the wilds of Kanagawa dead from asphyxiation caused by charcoal burners. According to reports it seems the two had met online. Statistically, the same day this took place somewhere between 80 and 100 other people had also deliberately killed themselves.
In another report from a week or two ago a woman failed in her bid to die by jumping in front of an oncoming train. While hit, the woman did survive and the injuries were not considered life threatening.
