People might think that not arresting for murder is a bit crazy, but it makes sense considering the actual cause of death is not yet officially determined (kind of embarrassing to declare murder and find out it was suicide or something). Also, as you can be locked up for up to 30 days when arrested, there is no need for the police to go rushing for the next arrest warrant (assuming her death was due to foul play or misadventure). This also gives police extra leverage in investigations they can re-arrest the suspect to string out the time in detention for another 30 days.
