Calmando Qual are back in the local live scene with a two-man event at Club Chop! CQ (a.k.a. Twisted Clock) are a hard rocking Tokyo band who have done numerous tours in Europe and definitely worth catching for their powerful live shows. They are sporting new hellatious costumes to go with the mini album released earlier this year. They will be teaming up with Piano Zombie for the night.

Yes kids, another Halloween gig with one of my favorite hard industrial bands, Destruct System. DS have been around for a long time and have been one of the main fixtures at many Tokyo Dark Castle events over the past couple of years and are definitely a band worth catching.

They will be appearing with Erdbeeren, Sole Prove, The Glams, CBS and Cronth-D @ Head Power Shinjuku on October 29. I only know a little bit about the other bands, but my guess is the sound-scape is a mix of heavy rock and J-rock – could be quite an interesting night.

Psydoll & The Royal Dead in Machine Magic Oktober @ Urga, Shinjuku

This is an exciting little event featuring two bands who have gone out and got themselves a name at international Gothic events. The bands are, electronicka unit Psydoll and ambient dance muses The Royal Dead (formerly Phantasmagoria). These two bands will be playing with the recently reformed Psychodream, and others in Machine Magic Oktober. The event starts at 7:30 on Friday and goes to around 11 pm in the evening and will be a good way to dispel the week’s demons and defrag the brainstack.

As of the time of screaming, the price has not been set (don’t worry it will be reasonable), but the event will be at Shinjuku Urga (map). Black Veil Halloween @ Club Neo OSAKA

It is time for another Halloween in Osaka, and what better way to celebrate this dark night than turning up to another iteration of the famous Gothic club event, Black Veil!

Produced by Territory-D’s Taiki, Black Veil is one of the coolest events to go to in the Osaka Goth scene. The event is an all-night affair featuring DJ’s Taiki, Bonzin and Syarman along with support from locals Moe:t and Elmina, plus a special guest performance from Nagoya’s Stigmatic DJ, Doomspider. There will also be performances from an-jali and Midori (a toast to her hallowed name!) and a shop booth for Territory-D, of course.

The event is priced at 3,500 yen (plus one drink) for advanced bookings and 4,000 yen (plus one drink) on the night. I am not sure if this is dress-coded, but for any Dark Veil event it is always worth dressing up as it will be one of the best dressed events in the local calendar.

Starting at 9 p.m. the event will continue on until the dawn so remember to bring a photo ID with you!

As the band’s catch-phrase says, Good kids go to heaven, Bad kids go to Baal gigs! BAAL is hot industrial cybernetic rock, not to be missed in Tokyo’s underground scene. This time they’ll be playing at Shinjuku Antiknock with The Bubbles, 13th moon, Cracks, Hat Trickers, P.I.M.P. and others. How much would you expect to pay for this night of madness? Just 2000 yen (I think, plus a drink). The action begins at 17:00 and goes until around 23:00 or so. Well worth it for a night of madness on the town!

[Uber Goth-Industrial Live & DJ] Here is the 2010, second-half schedule for TDC. Tokyo Dark Castle (TDC) is the main event for the Gothic underground in Tokyo. Populated by the best-dressed Goths from all walks of life TDC delivers some of the best live acts and DJs in the scene. This makes TDC a must-see on any Goth agenda.

TDC have the second half’s event schedule for 2010 and rather than do a single post each time the event is set to roll.
