I was recently given the opportunity to test Buzzfuse, a new viral, cost-effective marketing tool for bloggers, photographers, musicians, and more. Essentially, users can set up their own buzz network and promote their works online.
This initial sign-up was a breeze, just put your e-mail and wait for the mail from Buzzfuse. Unfortunately I received a blank e-mail and it was only when I went to view source, I could find the link. It may just be an issue with my Web-based e-mail program, but I just could not get the account started. I then tried using a Gmail account and was able to get the intro message without difficulty and could set up the account.
After inputting the basic personal details the service allows you to input your circle of connections by importing from your own files - this is kind of cool if you have lots of contacts - or you can add contacts manually.
As for adding content, only the MP3 section was available to me at the time of review - video and photo uploads were “coming soon.” This was disappointing, but I can understand that this is a large-scale project that is still being developed.
Overall, it looks like a potentially great way to upload and promote your own content, be it music, movies, pictures or blog, however, there are a few snags in the system that need to be addressed before it can be considered a fully operational as a buzzmaker. I have no doubt that these issues will be addressed soon so if you read this comment a month or so after it is published then I would recommend checking it out. I will be revisiting it to see how they are progressing.
Check out Buzzfuse now and take it for a test run.
