One of the biggest hassles for me when coming to Japan was what to do with all my stuff back home. For all the regular items including chess boards and sofas and the like we were able to be free of them through a garage sale. However there were a few precious pieces of art, which, along with my personal art collection which we couldn’t give up and could not bring across to Japan. Our solution was to leave the best items with a member of the family and discard some lesser items and carefully packing away a few choice pieces for our Japan adventure. However, it didn’t stop there. The problem has cropped up time and again in Japan with more of my personal art items being discarded at each change. I am now left with three pieces of my own.
Life would have been much easier for us if we knew about Mind’s Eye’s services (http://www.imaginemindseye.com). They offer an extensive array of services customized to your art, needs and budget. They can deal with virtually any kind of art from paintings to sculptures to chandeliers and antiques. The company’s clients include museums, personal collectors and more. Quite literally, I have lost a lot of my personal heritage (artsy bits) and truly believe that this kind of art storage service could have saved me from making a lot of hard decisions I have had to make each time we move.
