Stigmatic[Hard Goth - DJ'd] Nagoya has been bubbling over this year with Goth and Goth-like events (by Nagoyan standards of course). However, there is only one main event and that is Stigmatic. Ramping things up for this iteration is the fact that Stigmatic shall be turning five. Get ready for one helluva night, because we all know DoomSpider likes his parties loud!

On the sound grinding side all the resident DJ’s are up and they are mighty DJ’s… While DoomSpider does like his EBM and industrial damned hard, he also has an deft touch mixing aural beauty and horror soundscapes. VenoMoth (aka Sister Levi) throws you femme-driven future tracks, electro-Goth and dark ambient. The final nail is mad-ass electro-clash from riz-K.

And the special for the fifth anniversary is… Public Torture Works. No, no, no, they’re not going to start stapling the clientele to amp casings. They’re going to show off a few people with branding and split tongue displays and more. Macabre yet interesting.

25 people who pre-book will receive a special mixed CD – DoomSpider’s mixCDs do rock.

Remember to bring your ID.

(Tokyo) — A man threw a Molotov cocktail at the headquarters of a major newspaper publisher early Friday morning – just a stone’s throw away from where I get paid to stay off the streets.

The attack was apparently in response to the company publishing a news story in its Thursday morning edition revealing that late Emperor Hirohito stopped visiting Yasukuni Shrine because he did not approve of the enshrinement of war criminals there. Now for the incompetent part…

The Molotov cocktail was thrown unlit. He must have got the instructions backwards – What? You mean I have to light it before I throw it? You must be nuts!

[Electronic - Electro-Pop] Another late-July inclusion with Suki-Suki Elepo (Electro-Pop) – a.k.a. Kenji Konishi – coming across to Tokyo to do a couple of events as 4-D Mode1 and Baki-sho-ji.

According to the gospel of St. Jude (Sins of The flesh): Kenji has had a lengthy career in electronic music in Japan, including stints in some rather famous acts like P-Model. Most recently he has been playing under the name ‘Dark Matter’: a duo he formed with Sunao Inami, making some very dark and powerful electro indeed.

On Saturday, 22nd of July Kenji will be doing a more old school EBM with Baki-no-Ji with a number of acts including Dummy.

[Goth - Zombie - Live] Kobe will be mixing self-inflicted death with sassy girls and Goth rockers – and you thought they were so serious. Well, this event sees the moody Goth rockers Jet Pepper Tower together with hard rocking glammy Gothers Speecies for the second time in one month. Plus you get to find out what Red Ill Princess is all about. RIP is the new outfit for ex. Satanyanko-ette Rie, but I have no idea what kind of band it is. There will also be a guest appearance by Loco Apes from Tokyo.

Add to this a bevy of DJ’s… including RieZombie-chan… and you got a pretty cool night. The night’s themes (other than death) are horror rock, positive punk, sci-fi glam, death rock, new wave, Hanoi (WTF is Hanoi?) and more.

France – Tactical industrial outfit, 2 Bullet, continues the expansion of its overseas presence with the availability of its album through French indies label nanimoto.

They will be joining fellow Gothics Aural Vampire and Calmando Qual who’s albums are also available through nanimoto (Prices are: 15 euro / 19:13 USD / 10.21 GBP).

Nanimoto will also be coming out with its first compilation album Sakurabana in July and will include a 2 Bullet track along with other Japanese indies (mixture of VK and Goth most likely) along with French indy bands.
