Rocky Horror Night CLUB WALPURGIS @ Aoi Heya, TOKYO :: Sat. 26th November

Zeus Machina’s Club Walpurgis goes forth with Rocky Horror Night. Club Walpurgis has it’s roots in the 1980s where the original club became quite a popular nexus in Tokyo. Mixing the darker (and much better) side of the 1980s with the sights, sounds and energy of the 21st century makes for a great retro-flavored night. [...]

TOGE TOGE TOKAGEE @ Head Power, Shinjuku, TOKYO :: Fri. 25th November

This is a good end-of-week, lifestyle-Goth event. A well-paced night for the Friday crowd with various live sounds (some are true hidden gems) and some exhibition space. Head Power’s got a real cool early industrial feel with a labyrinthine entrance/lower floor and space for around 60-70 on the main stage floor.

Fresh from their London assault, 101A will be doing preforming for Club Chop’s third anniversary on November 30. The band is a hot retro-rock act with hard femme vocals - w00f! There is also a nice mix of local acts with MuniMuni (ex. Sods) and others. Not Goth, but this night will rock with sounds [...]

Sorry about the lack of updates, but I’ve been in the dungeon cooking up the code for Final Damnation, the final transition for the site.
What’s Final Damnation
In a nutshell, FD is the culmination of a year and a half’s site development of JP Goth. The site has gone from absolutely nothing, cranked out on Notepad [...]

THIS WEEK ONLY! Two-hours of J-Goth online!

Closed Caskets’ latest weekly program is now online with some nice additions to the rotation from Dach’s recent trip to Japan. It’s available at a very low bit rate so it’s like listening to AM radio (which actually makes the retro-punky bands sound even better).
Good for a gander at the sounds us J-Gothers get to [...]

GADGET in Orgasm 17 @ Yotsuya OUTBREAK, TOKYO :: Thu. 17th November

Gadget are back! YES! Just plain hot, the sexy psychedelics will be getting it on for Chaos’ Orgasm 17 @ Yotsuya Outhbreak. Orgasm is more of a live rock event, but Gadget’s got a great sound (samples!) and a delivery that goes down anywhere and at least one of the other bands have got some [...]
