Once again Toge, Toge, Tokagee emerges. Igor must continue to admit that he still has very little idea about this event, but the flier has a Goth-looking guy toasting an unseen beauty by candle-light. If you’re interested, here’s back of the flier. It looks very, very interesting (Cinnamon speak for let’s check it out. The organizers, Daybook) do (or did) the Android 666 electro series. As an interesting aside while checking names, I stumbled upon a Gothic Lolita performance group (I’ll post details of that one later).

Igor @ Home

I really wanted to get out TONIGHT! but there was nothing convenient where I could crawl home soon afterwards…. Chilling out with a chuhi in my hand and two ferrets running a riot in the room. That’s my exciting night job, director of weasle entertainment. Well, they seem happy. Home alone again. So again, I turn to the site.

Been a strange week. Good, bad and ugly. It left some food for thought as I consider how to approach the world, light and dark (no, I’m not going to tell you – sheesh). Just a funny old week as they say. It also sprouted some ideas in my head that I’ll start looking into in the weeks to come. Crazy ideas. One of the craziest is I got this one dream of organizing an event. Like, I don’t have the first freaking idea on how to organize an event, I’ve got the people skills of Ishihara and I’ve got zip in the way of mulah. Oh, I could go on, and on, but it’s just this crazy idea that bounced inside the brain box while I cogitated. Bah, I better go back to messing out the ferret chamber.

Osakans, it’s time to get your pound of flesh! This is the first half of the tour, delivering dark pop/rock industrial material (second half will be electro-industrial). On Wednesday, May 24, SOTF will be playing @ Osaka’s Fandango along with Rick Walker’s Loop.pooL. Opens @ 6 p.m. and starts @ 7 p.m so you can lubricate the braincells beforehand. Sitting at the daywalker desk and all Igor’s thinking about is Sunday’s Overfused @ Club Asia P. I want my rum and coke and baccy in hand and I want some serious PARTY NOISE!!! Igor’s got the bounce dammit! Anyway, quick update while my boss is upgrading the living daylights out of one of the systems.

Saturday in Kobe!
You got Kobe Underground Festival going down @ Uwaya Gekijo from 6 p.m. It only happens once a year, but it’s on overdrive with 12 hours of bounce, bands from all over the place and more, more, more! Sins of the Flesh, Mimetic, Auto-Mod, Aural Vampire, Chronotrigger, Agent Murder, Jet Pepper Tower. Oh, maa-an it looks sweet.

Sunday in Tokyo!
Overfused? @ Club Asia P starts off @ 5 p.m. in total freak out mode! You gotta turn up ON TIME! coz the bouncing starts at three G’s with DJ Statik from Das Bunker @ 5(!) and then Sins of the Flesh ramp it up a few more notches @ 5.30 p.m. And it just don’t stop with Mimetic, Dummy, Ordinateur, Sino, Noise/Girl and DJ Maya squeezing the most out of the night! Don’t forget, the SOTF single, Death Wish, will be released on Saturday, so you can pick up 30 minutes of fine, fine, fine sounds for just a senner!

Sunday in Osaka!
Also a quick holler out to Osakans, with Satanyanko, Defmonkeys, Zero MHz, Unknown, XecsNoin, and Scythewrack System @ Club Alive (Osaka Shinsaibashi).

Cool stuff or just plain weird? From the guys who brought you SushiDisk, USB memory in the shape of sushi, comes more USB storage in the form of a ghost detector.

Picking up on magnetic waves, heat and sweat, the GhostRadar can pick up to nine types of preternatural spirits, alerting owners through a cute little LED screen resembling those Simple Simon toys from the early 1980s. As if that’s not enough, the company, Solid Alliance, has set up a Web site where GhostRadar owners can post information about their hauntings (I don’t know where, okay).

These guys must have discovered some pretty amazing recreational pharmaceuticals to come up with these ideas – SushiDisk, i-Duck (USB rubber ducky mascot or memory), B-Tough t-shirts with pistol-in-pants print design, and more!

UPDATE! The night starts hot with Sins of the Flesh doing the first set (so you better haul yourself and your ferret there by 5 p.m!). This is part of the DeathTripper’s tour with SOTF’s new single, Death Wish, a Japan-only 30-minute release with 6 tracks (bargain @ 1,000 yen! MP3 samples here). DON’T FORGET! There’s plenty of quality throughout the night with Mimetic, Dummy, Ordinateur, Sino, DJs Maya & Statik and stacks more!

If the Kobe Underground Festival wasn’t enough for you, or you were piking in Tokyo, then redemption is at hand @ Club Asia P on Sunday, May 22. Opening at 5 p.m. and finishing at around 10, Overfused will prise your skull open, scramble your mind and reseal it again in time for work on Monday morning. This is part of the Death Trippers tour featuring Sins of the Flesh and Mimetic. Having just listened to various mixes from Sins of the Flesh on complimentary CD and on the KUF Compilation CD (a bargain @ 2,300 yen) AND the samples for the Death Wish release, Igor’s got a yen to get his ass out there! the ferrets have begun (Update! Negotiations successful!).
